This year’s Alfred Meyer Memorial Lecture entitled ‘Mechanisms of tissue injury in multiple sclerosis’ was delivered by Professor Hans Lassmann.

The Cavanagh Prize Lecture was given by Dr Thomas Jacques, who spoke on ‘Models for the pathology of neural stem cells in tumour formation andepilepsy’.
